Ironweed Wisdom Exchange

The Ironweed Wisdom Exchange is a learning community for grassroots organizations and community leaders in Central Appalachia.

The goals of the Ironweed Wisdom Exchange are to:

  • build solidarity and deepen relationships among key partners in the Appalachian region;

  • assess the needs of ACF’s grantees to better design technical assistance programming; and

  • establish relationships with trainers, educators, and technical assistance providers who can support ACF’s grantees.

The Ironweed Wisdom Exchange’s Inaugural Cohort was made up of 14 organizations from the region and included: 

In their first year, the Ironweed Lead Cohort participated in training on Community Safety and Security, Data and Research Justice, Placekeeping and Cultural Exchange, Racial Justice and Equity, and Disability Justice and Community Care.
