Our Impact

Defining Central Appalachia

We fund organizations working for social change in Central Appalachia. To be eligible for funding, organizations must conduct work in Tennessee, Kentucky, Virginia, or West Virginia in a county designated by the Appalachian Regional Commission’s map.

Impact Map of Grantmaking

For each year of funding, you will find a map that lists all of the grantees that received general funding and technical assistance grants from us, and you can also track what issues were addressed by each grant.

Each of the buttons below will take you to an interactive map.  Click on any pin within each map for more information.
