Our Story

Ridgeline Blue outline drawing of a large, historic wooden barn with transparent background

Just as every fire begins with a spark and every forest a seed, lasting, large-scale change is only possible when it starts with the people on the ground.

Our Structure

At the Appalachian Community Fund, we invest in a future where every neighbor can thrive by supporting community-led organizations that are building welcoming towns and resilient local economies. Through our grants and programs, we bridge silos and connect leaders across the region, fostering the collective power and neighborly connections needed to create lasting, positive growth in Central Appalachia.
