As an Organizer for the Out and South Initiative, Reed assists with ACF’s fundraising and outreach in the Northeast. He is excited to mobilize resources to grassroots work in Appalachia and to contribute to creating more inclusive communities for LGBTQ youth and adults in the region.
Reed is from Washington, D.C., and recently finished an internship with the National Committee for Responsive Philanthropy, an organization that does research and advocacy for funders to send more dollars to social justice organizations. Prior to NCRP, Reed was involved with community programs including efforts to fight tenant displacement in Oakland, California, and a community publication that shares stories about homelessness in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
For fun, he likes to explore his new home of New York and do family dinners with roommates and friends.
