Attended the Institute of Audio Research, NY, Southern West Virginia Community College, WV, and Bluefield State College, WV. He begin his work in the non-profit world in 1989 working with Elkhorn Valley Development in Keystone WV, moving on in 1999 to academic development center in Bluefield where he was the computer specialist, in 1992 he became the director of South Central AIDS Network, under Darryl’s leadership South Central AIDS Network incorporated and became an independent organization. In 1999 with board leadership we changed the name South Central Educational Development, Inc., where he became the executive director. Over the years he has participated in the following organizations, The Mississippi Urban Research Center at Jackson State University, MS. National AIDS Education Servicing Minorities in Atlanta, GA., AIDS Treatment Activism Coalition CA, The Appalachian Funder Network., Ashville NC, WV. He also served on the Statewide HIV Community Planning Group, Ryan White Care Council, Mountains of Hope Cancer coalition, WV. He has served on the board of directors of The Appalachian Community Fund, TN. and The Funding Exchange, NY. and on the Advisory Committee of the Southeastern Area Health Education Center at the West Virginia School of Osteopathy Medicine.
